Update from Tanya - NFL Game

There was not a lot happening on Thanksgiving day as this is normally a holiday that revolves around family but Coach David managed to find out about Wa highschool American Football game not far from our hotel.  When we arrived we discovered that it is a 60 or so year tradition between two rival schools and has been won by Lincoln High for some years now.  The competition is called the Big Bone and apparently the trophy is a bone.  Despite the fact that our colours of blue and gold that we were all wearing was actually the colours of Lincoln, we sat on the side of San Jose (mainly because it was not looking in to the sun and they had some good seats still available).  Anyway they lost 36-18 (I think).  It is the strangest game.  Every time you think you are going to see some action by someone intercepting the ball or something they stop the play, run some other players on to the field and keep going.  A 48 minute game takes 3 hours.  It was very interesting but not really something that I can see myself wanting to watch more of.  After the game, David had organised a photo op with the San Jose cheer squad.  Some of the boys weren’t in the photo as they were over the other side of the field looking for food or something and decided that they would wait for us over there until they saw the other boys lining up for a photo with the cheerleaders, they then bolted around just in time to see the group dispersing.  Jeremy was most dissappointed to have missed out.

I will add some photos of ice skating and six flags tomorrow once I have downloaded them.  But it is late and it has been a BIG day.
