Big Day Out
Well where do I start… We started out the day going to king aurthers Laberynth. Didnt get there. We were given the incorrect address and ended up at Harlech Castle. This is one of 5 castles built by edward the first to defete the welch. each of the castles were set within 1 days walk of each other and surounded the snowdonia lands. they were to blockade supplies to the welsh that lived there.
We then went to Caernarfon castle.. Wow.. It was also built by edward 1. It is very large. The wals of the city suround the entire city and is too big to show with a photo.
There are way too many facts to mention here but the most interesting is that Edward 1 was unable to defete the welsh and he and his wife gave birth to their first son in this castle. This made edward II welsh not english. They declared him the first welsh prince to make the people except the english rule. Each first born of the queen is now called the prince of wales due to this.
